An early 19th century German swivelling gilt bronze mounted game table executed
in satinwood and ebonized wood and having a marble and hardstone mosaic playing
surface, two drawers and two slides. Signed & dated by the maker, Carl Scheeche 1835.

A very similar table is in the dining hall of Charlottenhof. Illustrated in Potsdam, by
Stredit & Frahm, p. 172. Yet another table of clearly similar inspiration and execution
is in the collection of the Oldenberg Art Museum, accession #7107, and is illustrated in Himmelheber, "Biedermeier Furniture", #111." On view at Didier Aaron, Inc.

An important English Regency period musical mantle clock executed in mahogony,
ebonized wood and brass and attributed to George Bullock. The movement signed
by Robert Roskell (active in Liverpool and London, 1798-1830) striking, and
activating a music works playing six airs. George Bullock, one of the most
innovative designers and cabinet makers of the Regency period was active in
Liverpool until 1812, when he moved his workshops, known as the Grecian Rooms,
to London. CA. 1820.
