Miniature Interior Diorama by Helen Bruce USA Ca. 1950 A vitrine depicting a doll house interior utilizing antique fabric and doll house furnishings, including a straw work marquetry table. Signed and dated, H. Bruce fecit, 1953, Entitled, "La Vie en Miniature". Helen Bruce, b. 1880, was an Antique Dealer in New York City who also sold antique dolls and antique miniature, dollhouse accessories, from which she created these dioramas depicting 19th century millinery shops and interiors. She was especially patronized by Elizabeth Havemeyer Webb, whose collection of 30+ examples are in The Shelburne Museum in Vermont. Price $4,500 Condition excellent Measurements Height: 14 in.
